The Atrium program, known as Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, is a beautiful catholic faith formation experience that draws from Montessori principles and honors the child’s deep spiritual life.
the Atrium opportunity
The Atrium program is available for our students whose families choose to enroll them in it.
It takes place in a carefully prepared environment called the atrium, where children are invited to encounter God through hands-on materials, quiet reflection, prayer, and meaningful presentations rooted in Scripture and liturgy. In this space, the child is not rushed or lectured. Instead, they are given the opportunity to wonder, listen, and build a personal relationship with God in a way that is peaceful, joyful, and developmentally appropriate.
The atrium reflects Montessori’s belief that children learn best through concrete experiences, beauty, order, and freedom within limits.
Through this approach, children come to know the love of the Good Shepherd in a way that speaks to both their hearts and minds, helping nurture faith, independence, concentration, and a lasting sense of peace.
