Elementary Assistant Teacher

St. Mary’s Montessori School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Assistant Teacher to join our growing community. As an authentic Montessori school, we are committed to putting children and their safety first while deeply valuing our educators.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Montessori Alignment: Implement instruction that honors Montessori principles—hands-on, child-centered, and self-directed learning.

  • Collaboration with Lead Teachers: Partner with classroom teachers to develop individualized plans and share progress updates.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Clear evidence of student progress toward grade-level benchmarks.

  • Strong collaboration and communication with lead teachers.

  • Consistent and organized

Job Details

  • Job Type: Full-Time

  • Work Location: In-person

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift; occasional weekends

  • Pay Scale: $17.50 – $23.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in English, Elementary Education, or related field

  • Coursework in Elementary Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

Required Certifications (per Department of Social Services)

  • CPR/First Aid Certification

  • Live Scan Fingerprinting

  • Mandated Reporter Training (General Training, School Personnel, & Child Care Provider)

  • Tdap/Dtap & MMR Immunizations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:
