Montessori Elementary Director
St. Mary’s Montessori School is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated individual to serve as our Elementary Director. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who values AMI Elementary education and is eager to guide an intimate elementary program with care and professionalism.
We are committed to nurturing and strengthening our existing Elementary program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, along with a deep understanding of the Montessori philosophy. AMI training and prior experience as a Director or Assistant Director are essential. Experience managing a licensed childcare or elementary school is also required, along with the ability to stay organized, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with families and staff.
We are looking for someone who can inspire and lead a small team, work collaboratively, and bring a calm, confident presence to our school community. Competitive compensation and benefits will be offered to the successful candidate. Reasonable Moving costs will be compensated to those who are out of state.
Job Types: Full-time, Employment Agreement
Pay Scale: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
Qualifications and standards:
The MINIMUM required to qualify for this position.
AMI Elementary Montessori Diploma.
2-3 years of elementary administrative experience or related education.
Bachelor’s degree in Child Development or equivalent work/educational experience.

Experience:
Assistant director: 1 year (Required)
Preferred requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience working in a Montessori environment
Bachelor's Degree in Child Development/ Elementary Education
Specialized Training and/or Licensing:
Coursework in child development/ Elementary Education/ School Administration.
State-required qualifications to supervise a group of students alone.
Serve Safe Certification.
Director First Aid and CPR extended hourly certificate.
DSS Comp 1 and 2 for Directors.
